LABAM Creazione Accessori Alta Moda has cared about the environment long before it became a "trend"
Always attentive to sustainability, in the late 1970s we took the opportunity to move to the current headquarters in Basilicagoiano to immerse the company in a green perspective, creating large green spaces around it, a lake and an area dedicated to the cultivation of fruit trees, all available to the entire staff. This context meant that the typical “retro workshop” was not created, but rather gave us the possibility to start waste management in years in which even the meaning of the term was not yet clear.
To improve its environmental impact, LABAM intervenes on the entire production cycle of its articles by minimizing emissions, reducing the production of waste, optimizing processes and available resources.
Polymethyl methacrylate (abbreviated PMMA), the king of plastics is known under the trade name of Plexiglas and is recycled at a percentage close to 100%.
The materials produced and used are made with certified raw materials and comply with current regulations
LABAM demonstrates its social responsibility towards the environment with total transparency through the use of sustainable and completely recyclable materials. LABAM is committed to putting the theme of sustainability at the center of its production. LABAM GREEN
Raising awareness of waste and global pollution has led to the birth of “LABAM GREEN”, a project in which in the last decade LABAM has made important investments aimed at the efficient modernization of the entire production site. Particularly important among these are the choice of oils and lubricants that are more than 90% biodegradable, the introduction of a new heating system that cuts gas and energy consumption and consequent emissions, the installation of automated fire-fighting systems, the installation of various centralized extraction systems with fume abatement, the purchase of important automated systems and machinery minimizing the waste of electricity, the installation of complex water recirculation and purification systems and the conspicuous reduction of emissions are re, up to total waste management, with the aim of reducing any possible negative effect on the environment.

Green companies implement projects to make conscious and sustainable use of environmental resources, reducing waste, enhancing ecosystems and positive economic practices. SUSTAINABILITY
FROM WORDS TO ACTIONS
– Energy Efficiency: already equipped with photovoltaic panels and LED lighting fixtures and car charging station, our commitment includes the integration of renewable energies and energy improvement. In 2022 LABAM installed an important photovoltaic system with a power of 150 kWp, currently producing 180MWh, thus saving 46 tons of standard coal, 52 tons of CO2 not produced and planting the equivalent of 65 trees. The remainder is purchased from the grid, also from renewable sources.
– Preserve the Environment: we have created a sustainable working environment, making separate waste collection a solid practice in office and production life. To reduce emissions, we have acquired new vehicles and optimized delivery routes.
– Corporate green: The enhancement of company green areas emphasizes the values of sustainability and respect for nature and the individual. In Labam there are 10,000 square meters of greenery and over 120 plants. This produces a beneficial impact on the ecosystem and on the well-being of the community. Sustainability is good for the environment and for the growth of companies; we firmly believe that in order to continue to grow, the behavioral paths of individuals and companies must be changed.
